December 1, 2006
Today Network Technologies Group, Inc. of Olathe, KS (NTG) and Advanced Monitoring & Control, Inc. of Boynton Beach, FL (AMCI), two leaders in wireless remote monitoring of cathodic protection (CP) equipment for oil and gas pipeline corrosion protection, announced an agreement whereby NTG has acquired AMCI's remote monitoring business and technology. The combined business will operate as Network Technologies Group, Inc. AMCI, founded by Matt Kahn and Jack Spruth in 1999, has major customers in the eastern US, and considerable expertise in transporting data via satellite and digital cellular communications networks. NTG is a leader in the cathodic protection remote monitoring industry, with a large presence in the western US. The combined company will have a total of more than 5,000 remote monitoring units in the field. The addition of AMCI's advanced technology to NTG's manufacturing, sales, and customer support organization gives the company the most competitive product and service offering in the industry.
The acquisition assures that both companies' customers will benefit from access to superior technology, reliable products, and excellent customer support. "We look forward to joining the NTG team. Our new, combined organization will provide our customers with the best of our technologies and support", said Jack Spruth, of AMCI. "Merging with AMCI will give NTG's customers immediate access to new digital cellular and satellite communication technologies, greatly enhancing the communications reliability of their CP remote monitoring networks", said Mike Reed, President of NTG. "We are excited about the addition of this extremely capable technology team."
Jack Spruth will head the company's Houston sales office, while Matt Kahn will manage NTG's Product Development facility in Delray Beach, FL.
