Elecsys Corporation's NTG Subsidiary Appoints Hockway International as Distribution Partner in Middle East

November 5, 2008

Olathe, Kansas (November 5, 2008) - Elecsys Corporation (AMEX: ASY), announced today at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) that its NTG subsidiary has appointed Hockway International as the sole distributor and sales and service partner for its WatchDog CP remote monitoring system in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. The wireless, internet-based Watchdog CP system monitors cathodic protection (CP) and corrosion control systems on oil and gas pipelines and equipment and provides prompt notification of alarm conditions anywhere in the world through GSM cellular and satellite network communications.

NTG President Mike Reed commented, "The WatchDog CP system has been very successful in North America since its introduction in 2007. We are looking forward to partnering with Hockway due to the company's solid reputation for providing cathodic protection equipment to pipeline systems in this region of the world."

Hockway International, Ltd., based in the United Arab Emirates, operates out of the U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom. The company offers a complete cathodic protection package from initial investigative survey through engineering design, manufacture of equipment, site installation and commissioning of systems. Hockway International Chief Executive Officer Alistair Ketner stated, "The WatchDog CP is a cost-effective, reliable monitoring system that complements our products. We believe it will add tremendous value for our customers. There is a growing need for remote monitoring of CP systems in our market area."

Karl Gemperli, President and Chief Executive Officer of Elecsys, added, "NTG entered the international market this past summer with our first installation of remote monitoring systems for the Abu Dhabi National Refining Company. We believe this partnership with Hockway will give us the opportunity to establish our presence in a key region of the world where significant pipeline construction activity is planned."
